Ed Gold – Founder
A native New Yorker, Ed Gold founded Gold Business Management in 2005 in his hometown of Port Washington, NY. Since graduating in 1993 from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Ed has worked exclusively on the financial side of the entertainment industry.
Having started at the independent record label, WAR? (What Are Records?), he moved to Atlantic Records in 1994 where he stayed until 1999. After two years in Digital Rights Management during the Napster era, he started work in a boutique business management firm prior to striking out on his own.
When he is not staring at his computer screen, Ed is an avid tennis player and long-suffering fan of his beloved Knicks, Mets, Giants and Islanders.
Mike Berlly – Business manager
Mike has been an integral part of Gold Business Management since 2008, when he joined as an intern after graduating high school in Port Washington. After earning his bachelor’s degree in politics, economics, and law in 2012 from SUNY Old Westbury, Mike joined GBM full-time, delving into how the music industry works by assisting with GBM’s client roster.
Now an industry veteran, Mike manages his own client roster, handling the financials for many top names in the emo and pop-punk world. He remains heavily involved with most of the company’s roster, whether they be artists, managers, record labels, PR firms or concert promoters. More recently, Mike has played a major role in building the building the financial structure of an NFL player agency.
When not at the office, Mike is more than likely at a concert in Manhattan, Brooklyn, or quite frankly, anywhere in the continental US. He also enjoys running with his wife and their friends but caps out at 10k for now.
Sam Langevin – Associate
Born and raised in Maine, Sam Langevin grew up surrounded by music. From her first concert seeing Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers, to performing on stage with the Eagles as a member of the Hofstra Chamber Choir in 2022, music has always been at the center of her life.
Her lifelong passion led her to Hofstra University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Business in 2022. During her time there, she gained hands-on experience through internships in Artist Management and Streaming & Playlisting. She also served on the Executive Board of Hofstra Concerts.
In April 2023, Sam joined Gold Business Management as an Associate bringing her background as a musician and passion for live entertainment to support artists at every stage of their careers.
Outside the office, Sam can be found exploring new places in NYC with friends and family, trying new foods, or at home spending time with her pet rabbit, who keeps her on her toes.
Jillian Kenny – Associate
Following her upbringing in Arizona, Jillian Kenny moved to New York to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Music Business from Hofstra University. After graduating in 2025, she jumped right into the workforce at Gold Business Management, where she had been learning and growing as an intern during the year prior.
While at Hofstra, Jillian developed an interest in finance as she led the sales & distributions team at Hofstra’s student-run record label, where she managed the label’s budget and oversaw the allocation of funds to various projects. Off campus, her experience took her around the country working in logistical and planning roles at festivals and conferences such as Bonnaroo and SXSW.
Outside of the office, Jillian loves attending concerts and enjoys taking up new crafts and cooking.
